History
For over 30 years, TDM has been providing solutions and designing customised embedded electronic systems (for the aerospace, defence, space, energy and industrial sectors). Based in Bordeaux-Mérignac, it is now recognised in the field, working closely with major players in the aeronautics industry such as Thales and Dassault.
Since July 2025, TDM has been part of SERMA, a group with expertise for over 30 years in the design, security and reliability of products and data for sectors subject to strong environmental, reliability and security constraints.
Our history
Founded in 1994 by Marc De Tapol (an engineer by training), TDM has evolved from an electronics design office to a cutting-edge high-tech company.
TDM has grown over the years to become an expert equipment manufacturer for critical embedded signal processing in the ASD sector.
The first electronic boards were manufactured in 2005, and since then, the company has been meeting customer demands based on specifications and also designing high-tech systems under its own specifications.
In 2023, TDM officially became a Tier 1 equipment supplier to DASSAULT for embedded systems specifications. TDM then moved into its fourth business line (design office, mechanics, software, equipment supplier).
In 2024, TDM reached a milestone with the start of series production on prestigious aircraft, marking a turning point in its business model.

In 2025, TDM will join the SERMA Group through its subsidiary SERMA Ingénierie.

We also participate in collaborative research projects in aeronautics and defence. For example, we worked on the PANACEE project (insensitive magnetic position detection) alongside Thales and Airbus Helicopters.
TDM has been committed to a continuous quality improvement process since 2003 in order to meet the expectations and requirements of its customers. The company is ISO 9001 and EN9100 certified.
